Manali Petrochemical Ltd accords top priority to Safety , Health & Enviroment in all the decisions and day to day activities. Safety and Health Policy, Environment Policy of the company is pronounced and signed by the Managing Director to indicate the importance attached to safety at the corporate level.

By way of regular plant safety inspections, safety permit systems and safety training it is ensured that working environment is safe and damage to life, health and property are eliminated.

Employees, contractors, Executives and others are constantly exposed to training and retraining on safety to create safety awareness at all levels. Contract workers are regularly briefed on safety in Tamil and also advised on the importance of Personal Protective Equipments in safe work practice .

Regular statutory tests are carried out on pressure vessels and test records of pressure vessels are maintained and certified by Factory inspectorate. Equipment history records are maintained and updated. Computerised maintenance module system is also being planned. Condition monitoring and Preventive maintenance is carried out regularly.

Current information on safety is circulated through notice boards for awareness. Towards safety promotional activity every year safety competitions in Elocution, slogan writing, drawing quiz, group exercise are conducted and suggestions are rewarded in safety day /week celebrations. Safety committee meetings are held regularly every month and the jobs raised are carried out by fixing target dates. For the department objectives the percentage job completion is taken into account.

All incidents including near miss are analysed and recorded. Plant modifications are routed through proper channel and Hazop done wherever required. Risk and cosequence analysis are done where ever required and adequate protective measures are taken towards potential risk areas.

All employees are subjected to periodical medical check up and advised on the upkeep of health. No occupational hazard is noticed so far.

Environment protection is accorded top importance and improvement of operations is always done to reduce advrse impact on environment.Treatment of effluents, recovery and recycle are given specific attention and suggestions on this are also rewarded. Some employees have also got State government awards on this aspect. The company had obtained ISO 9001-2000 & ISO 14001-2005 certifications.

Even while fixing the objectives for ISO campaigns, Environment Management Programmes and safety promotional programmes are accorded top priority.
